Curacao host of F.C.C.A. 19th Annual Cruise Conference

More than a 1000 delegates and cruise executives present

WILLEMSTAD – The Government of Curacao under supervision of Ministry of Economic Development, Curacao Ports Authority (C.P.A.) and Curacao Tourism Board (C.T.B.) are positive about the opportunities the conference will bring to our country Curacao.

The conference will take place from October 1 till 5 at World Trade Center in Piscadera. Participants are cruise line executives which together forms the base for the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (F.C.C.A.), and all stakeholders in the industry and other destinations, e.g. tour operators, cruise line agents, attractions, insurance companies, architects, consultants etc. which are also F.C.C.A.

Hosts for the conference are hopeful that each delegate attending this conference will be impressed with the positive developments in the tourism sector. The conference will bring opportunities for Curacao to stand out as a cruise destination, pending for more cruise ships and cruise tourists to visit the island in the future.

Registration for the conference has reached 900 up to know, which represents high executives in various cruise companies accompanied with their spouses. With this, C.P.A. and C.T.B. are contributing with the economic development of the country. The F.C.C.A. conference gives a push to the role the island has in the tourism product in the region.

Most of the major cruise lines like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Holland-America, Princess Cruises and even Disney Cruise Lines, will be present during this conference which will see the fruits being harvest in 2014.

To summarize, the F.C.C.A. conference will contribute to the economic development of our country and will give it the push it needs to present all the island has to offer to cruise tourism.
