Curaçao resident awarded an MBE in her Majesty the Queen of England’s Birthday Honours List

AnneMarieLONDON, WILLEMSTAD - On behalf of the Britannic Club of Curaçao, we are delighted to congratulate the former British Vice Consul for the Dutch Caribbean, Anne-Marie Pietersz-Powell on being awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

An MBE is an award given by the Queen to an individual for outstanding service to the community or local 'hands on' service. An MBE is Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Anne-Marie receives this recognition for her dedication and service for British Nationals overseas. She is an active member of the island community, who consistently invests her time in giving back as well as going above and beyond the call of duty.

Anne-Marie is a wonderful lady, who has a genuine passion for what she does and we are happy that she has been recognised this way. This is a fantastic honour and we hope that Anne-Marie and her family feel proud that her consistent dedication to others has been recognised with an MBE.
