Curacao’s Curoil tenders to buy a 70,000 bbl cargo of low-sulfur diesel

CuroilHOUSTON, WILLEMSTAD - Curacao's domestic fuel supplier Curoil has launched a tender to buy a 70,000 barrel cargo of low-sulfur diesel for delivery July 9-11 at Willemstad, according to a report from the international news agency Reuters on Monday.

The company had launched in May a tender to buy a 40,000 barrel cargo of low-sulfur fuel oil for delivery this month. Curacao's refinery, the 335,000 barrel per day Isla operated by Venezuela's state-run PDVSA, supplies most of the country's domestic demand of fuels.

Curoil will receive bids until June 26 and they must be indexed to ultra low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) prices from the U.S. Gulf Coast. The cargo should contain maximum 400 parts per million sulfur, the invitation added.
