Defense sells dozens of houses in the next few years
WILLEMSTAD - Six of the houses owned by the Ministry of Defense are on sale. These free standing family homes are now empty. That's because the personnel are now renting in the private market.
“Also, there are fewer people of Defense presence in the Caribbean, so we also need fewer homes. The Kingdom’s Realty Company on behalf of the Dutch state responsible for the sale of homes. The houses are individually sold through a notary based on voluntary auction.”
Dozens of homes will gradually be sold in the next 2 to 3 years. These homes are spread over several neighborhoods in Curaçao such as Grote Berg and Kwartje.
