Dengue possibly greater threat danger than zika
WILLEMSTAD - Dengue may pose a greater risk to public health than Zika. This is according to epidemiologist Izzy Gerstenbluth.
Dengue can potentially cause more danger if, as predicted by the Meteorological Department, there is going to be more rain in the last half of this year caused by the La Niña weather system. More rain means more breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Because a large part of the population already had Zika or Chikungunya and therefore become immune, Gerstenbluth expects that Dengue will cause some problems.
There are four types of Dengue and anyone can become ill four times.
