Distinction pilots must solve shortage
WILLEMSTAD - To quickly fill the shortage of pilots at the local airline InselAir experienced pilots do not have to pass all the exams again.
The Curaçao Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) is now, at the request of InselAir, making a distinction between pilots with few flying hours and experienced aviators on the aircraft of InselAir.
Pilots with experience on the Fokker 50, Fokker 70 and McDonnell Douglas now only have to pass the Air Law exam to make sure that they are aware of the local laws and regulations.
With this measure, InselAir will supplement the shortage of pilots this month.
