ENNIA contributes to safer and healthy Carnival
WILLEMSTAD - With Carnival time coming up ENNIA developed a series of useful prevention advice and tips. This way the insurance company, which has long been committed to prevention, contributes to a safer and healthy Carnival for everyone. The information for clients and citizens in Curacao, Bonaire and Aruba is available via ENNIA’s website, e-news and social media channels, such as Facebook and LinkedIn, making it easy to read and for people and businesses to share it.
Gilbert Martina, ENNIA’s Senior Managing Director: "Every year everyone looks forward to Carnival, the most popular and enduring celebration of the year. We want businesses and citizens to fully enjoy this unique, traditional celebration, which has a rich history on the islands. At the same time, we also want to make everyone aware of a number of risks. Last year we already informed our clients about the increased risk of vehicle theft, vehicle break-ins and car accidents during Carnival. This year we will also discuss the risk of hearing damage, heatstroke, dehydration and food poisoning and what practical, preventive measures you can take.”
Prevention is a priority
Besides developing and selling modern insurance products, prevention is an important focus for ENNIA. Gilbert Martina: '"We feel we have a big social responsibility. You can insure against damage and risks, but prevention is better. As part of our prevention program, every year we organize a free and well attended Prevent Now seminar in Aruba and Curaçao. Together with the police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, we invest in neighborhood safety. During Christmas and New Year we paid attention to safe holiday lighting and handling fireworks safely. During Carnival, we focus on safety and health. Throughout the year we provide information and prevention tips via our newsletters and our ENNIA Prevention Facebook page."
