Eric Garcia released pending investigations
WILLEMSTAD - The court ordered the temporary release of the former Giro Bank Director Eric Garcia. He will remain a suspect in the case against him. He should also remain available for justice during the investigation. He is not allowed to leave the island.
Garcia was arrested on suspicion of embezzling 11 million US dollars and falsifying a bank statement of the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank in the settlement of the bankruptcy of the Banco de Maracaibo. The bank was declared bankrupt in 1994.
