Fatum becomes Guardian Group

FatumWILLEMSTAD – From now on the insurance company Fatum will go under the name Guardian Group. The company will enter the international market. “The only thing which is constant is change. We are naturally afraid of it, but we should welcome it and nurture it”, are words of CEO Steven Martina.

After 107 years on the Curacao market, Fatum has become a household name, it is time to turn our attention to the future and to new challenges. “The name change has been accompanied by a lot of the necessary preparations and discussions,” Martina goes further. “Changing a name you is not something you just do obviously, especially a name like Fatum which rooted here. But this change is certainly an added value.”

The brand name Guardian Group is very well known in the Caribbean market and matches the new future. “In order to further internationalize it you need a thorough uniform. Therefore we come to the conclusion that Guardian Group is a more reserved name. This name shows the power of the scale we actually have. We believe it is a good development, a change with a smile and a tear, “Martina goes further.

Current customers of Guardian Group will not take much notice of the change and everything Curaçao is accustomed with at Fatum, remains. “The name change should be seen as the first step in a new direction,” says the CEO. “We will advance and that brings enthusiasm, motivation and inspiration.”
