Frapper Trap FAD’s of the coast of Curaçao

FrapperWILLEMSTAD - Team Frapper is pleased to announce the planned deployment of 2 of their prototype Frapper Trap FAD’s off the coast of the Caribbean Island, Curaçao.

As part of an on-going research project called Deep Reef Observation Project (DROP), led by Dr. Carole C. Baldwin, Curator of Fishes at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC, and logistical support from the staff of Substation Curacao and their Curasub submersible, we will document efforts to Frapper1develop our "Lionfish-Specific Trap" in water depths well beyond the limits of most SCUBA divers."

Both Frapper Traps were deployed off Bapor Kibra, near the Curacao Sea Aquarium Park yesterday afternoon at 173ft and 312ft.
