French community in Curacao holds minute of silence
WILLEMSTAD - A minute of silence was held at the French Consulate in Curacao last Friday because of the terrorist attacks in France, where several people were killed. Anyone can sign the book of condolence at the consulate, Zanolino Philippe and Pascal Petit indicated.
"It is not Islam that caused the terrorist attacks in France", said the Frenchmen in "Wat een week!" (What a week). Both Frenchmen have been in Curacao for years, but their hearts were in France with their families this week.
Zanolino: "All over the world Muslim organizations condemned these radical actions." He is afraid of a new clash, yet the French artist does not believe that intolerance is maintained. "That is not our nature, which is forgiveness and love. These people will always be a minority. Vivele Monde."
