Frits Goedgedrag promoted to Commander in the Order of Orange-Nassau

THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD – On December 14, Mr. F. M. d. l. S. Goedgedrag was promoted to Commander in the Order of Orange-Nassau, during a reception in The Hague which was organized on the occasion of his retirement as Governor of Curaçao.

The promotion, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, is a recognition for the way mr. Goedgedrag guided himself, as Governor of the Netherlands Antilles and then as Governor of Curaçao, by his beliefs about the importance of close monitoring of the rules of democracy, its principles when it comes to the achievement of the values enshrined in the Constitution, and his views on the implementation of his duties as Governor, and the particular way in which he has contributed to the strengthening of the relations within the Kingdom.
