From Open Air To Open Water -Unlimited Painting On Curaçao

Painting under waterWILLEMSTAD – Alexander Belozor is a Guinness World Record breaker for the biggest painting made underwater.

The first Ukrainian painter who created art under water, he now has over 70 paintings. Above you can see the underwater paintings created in the Red and Black Seas in 2008 – 2011.

The creation of one work of art takes no more than 1 hour, depending on the depth, due to the time restraints imposed by the harsh physical conditions

Plein Air Curacao is proud to welcome Alexander Belozor to “Plein Air Curaçao”, the international art festivaL from February 22 to March 2, 2013.

During the week he will dive and paint on several days, depending on weather conditions.

His dive on Wednesday February 27 is a special one because on this day Alexander will dive and paint together with Mimi van Bindsbergen, one of our local artists. This will take place in the morning, between 08.00 – 13.00 uur, departing from Dive Center Scuba Do at Jan Thiel Beach. We invite everybody to join this spectacle, both above water and under water!

Open sea certified divers are most welcome to dive with Alexander and see the magic of his paint brush.
