Fuel prices to drop in September, just as utility prices
WILLEMSTAD – Due to the drop in crude oil prices on the world market, there is now space to do the same with fuel prices on the local market. Not only fuel prices, but also water and electricity prices. If the prices stabilizes at the current level, and if this translates to the refined products, then there will be an additional price decrease in October.
Gasoline is now 2.067 guilders per liter and will be 2.018 guilders starting September 1. Diesel is 1.264 guilders per liter and will be 1.132 guilders.
Price of a cubic meter of water is currently 9.9739 guilders and starting September 1 it will be 9.8223 guilders.
Electricity is now 0.5811 per kWh and on September 1 it will be 0.5568 per kWh.
Propane gas will also see a substantial decrease in price. A 100 lbs. cylinder is currently 60 guilders and will be 50 guilders, just as the 20 lbs. cylinder, which is now 13.50 and will be 10 on September 1 of this year.
