Gay’s in Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten want equal marriage rights
WILLEMSTAD - Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders in St. Maarten, Curacao and Aruba are demanding for the marriage rights to be revised in their communities. This was reported by the Daily Herald from Sint Maarten. In a joint statement they are calling for equal rights.
The statement was signed by Fundashon Orguyo Korsou on behalf of the Curacao gay community.
St. Martin Alliance for Equality (SAFE), Alternative Lifestyle Federation Aruba (ALFA) and Fundashon Orguyo Korsou (FOKO) have planned a conference to discuss possible next steps. The signed declaration will be submitted to the governments of the islands.
