Giro Bank’s new owner will be announced before December 17
WILLEMSTAD – Before December 17 this year, it will be announced who the new owners of the Giro Bank Inc. are. On that day it will be three years since the bank has been placed under receivership by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS).
The negotiations are in advanced stage and the parties are looking for a strategic partnership, local or foreign, to continue operating the bank.
It is important to bring clarity to the future of the bank, which inherited chaos in December 2013. The representatives of the CBCS who were appointed to deal with the Giro Bank found a mess. The bank is currently being managed by two professionals who, according to sources, are doing a great job solving the bank’s issues.
