Goods declaration at airport adjusted
WILLEMSTAD – The declaration of goods at the Curaçao airport has been adjusted to fit the new arrivals hall, which was inaugurated last week. This is according to a press release emitted by Customs.
Newly purchased items need not be specified up to 200 guilders. For those items of 200 guilders and more, the passenger will have to pay taxes. If the passenger does not declare and the authorities find out, then the penalty can be up to four times the amount of the normal tax. The person will also lose the item.
