Government closes year with fewer employees
WILLEMSTAD – With all probability the Curacao Government will close 2012 with 4611 employees, even though the Ministry of Planning and Public Service has not released the detailed reports of December as yet.
The year started with 4914 public employees. A total of 343 entered Government services this year and 646 left which brings the total to 4611. In November the Government hired 3 employees in permanent service, 9 on contracts, 3 for Cabinet Betrian and 3 more as executive assistants to the Government. Internally there was only one transfer from one department to another which makes the total of 19 public employees who started their services to the Government against 61 who left the force last month.
