Government Schotte monitoring the oil disaster

WILLEMSTAD "Schotte and his cabinet are monitoring the situation surrounding the oil spill by Venezuelan oil company PDVSA," according to the spokesman of demissionary Premier Gerrit Schotte, Ramsay Soemanta. Health Minister Jacinta Constancia Scoop has deployed a 'Task Force' and Schotte wants the environmental rules revised because of the incident.

"Schotte regrets the incident and indicated that it must never happen again", Soemanta declares. "Therefore he will revise is the standard environmental rules  with the goal in mind that this will never happen again." The Prime Minister has also contacted PDVSA in order to receive clarity on the situation.

Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Nasser el Hakim was taken by photographer Bea Moedt on an aerial tour of the area. By means of a helicopter he was able to see what the scope of the disaster is. Cleaning Company Selikor has now promised to help with the cleaning of the places where the PDVSA equipments cannot reach.
