Grand welcome for Rojer – Curaçao is proud
WILLEMSTAD - Tennis player Jean-Julien Rojer received an enthusiastic and grand welcome in Curaçao yesterday. Prime Minister Ivar Asjes was at Hato airport to greet the Wimbledon champion.
Youthful tennis players were waiting outside for him with a guard of honor to bring a tennis greeting. Rojer enjoyed the reception and shook hands with many young tennis fans.
The tennis champion and Prime Minister Asjes then drove to tennis club RCC, where the real ceremony took place, including a speech by the Prime Minister.
