Green Town wants to cooperate with multi-disciplinary project team
WILLEMSTAD – Green Town wants to work with the Multidisciplinary Project Team, which is considering the future of the oil refinery in Curaçao. Greentown Curaçao and the Netherlands requested this in writing to the Prime Minister Ivar Asjes.
Green Town wants to create a green area with port, employment and housing where the oil refinery is located. The foundation has long been engaged in the development of this plan.
Several months ago, the foundation presented their plans in the Parliament of Curaçao for the first time. Later they had the opportunity to present these plans to the Lower House in the Dutch Parliament.
Green Town strongly believes that the population must be offered a good alternative before a choice is made on the future of the refinery by the Multidisciplinary Project Team.
