Greentown requests help from Dutch government

Oil refineryWILLEMSTAD – Environmental Greentown has filed a request for assistance with the Dutch government. Namely the organization is very concerned about the possible extension of the contract between the Venezuelan State Oil Company PDVSA and the Refineria di Korsou (Curaçao Oil Refinery). According to Greentown there is no objective decision-making taking place.

In the letter addressed to the President of the Lower Chamber of the Dutch Parliament, Anouchka van Miltenburg, the organization indicates that there no valid economic reasons exists to extend the leasing contract between the Government and Curaçao and the Venezuelan Oil Company after 2019.

Greentown describes itself as a favorable alternative to the economic-, social and environmental level.
