Groningen student association Diephuis visits VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne Curaçao

VanEpsWILLEMSTAD - On Thursday 16 February, law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne played host to twenty-three students of the civil law student association Diephuis from Groningen. They visited the Curaçao office of the firm as part of a study trip to the island. During this trip, which includes visits to the court and several law firms, the students get acquainted with the island and the legal profession in the Dutch Caribbean.

The students were welcomed by HR Manager Nancy Hoop. Subsequently, lawyer Aubrich Bakhuis gave a presentation on the peculiarities of Caribbean law. Afterwards the students were able to ask the lawyers who were present everything they wanted to know about working in this region. The meeting ended in Caribbean fashion with a happy hour at Scuba Lodge.

In order for students and starters to get to know the legal profession and the firm, VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne regularly organizes in-house days and is happy to contribute to activities such as moot court competitions. VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne also permanently offers two internships in Curaçao and one in Aruba, for master students at the University of Curaçao, the University of Aruba and the Dutch universities.
