Hato Airport expansion will cost 35 million dollars
WILLEMSTAD - 35 million dollars. That's how much the expansion of the Curaçao Hato Airport will cost, as announced by the Minister of Economic Development, Eugene Ruggenaath.
The project is the Curaçao International Airport Terminal Project and is a collaboration between the Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) and the Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH).
The first phase is the investment of 25 million dollars followed by the second phase, which is the remaining 10 million dollars. This is an extensive operation, after which the airport should be able to annually accommodate at least 2.5 million passengers.
The project aims include the extension of the western terminal, a new arrivals hall, a larger check-in hall and a mirador (look out spot) on the roof. There will also add a new gate at the departure hall.
