Heavy rainfall leads to flooding in Saliña

SalinaWILLEMSTAD – During the weekend, Curacao got to deal with extreme storms. The Meteorological services therefore gave an orange code between 05.00 and 08.00 and warned of flooding and landslides especially in ‘danger zones’. The heavy thunderstorms and extreme rainfall led to flooding in different areas of the island including the business area Saliña.

It is currently unclear what effect the storm had. Zairomar Petronilla has sent pictures toSalina2 the dutch website showing the Saliña area camping with flooding.
