Houses in poor condition increased by 41 percent

HousesWILLEMSTAD - The number of houses in poor to very poor condition, increased by 41 percent in the period from 2001 to 2011. That is shown by new information from Census 2011 on the characteristics of living quarters, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reports.

In 2001 there were 2310 homes in bad shape and in 2011 this number had risen to 3266. The number of homes that are in good condition also increased (28 percent). "The net result is that the proportion of homes in poor / very poor condition has hardly changed. In 2011, six percent of the homes were in poor or very poor condition and in 2001 it was 5.3 percent, according to CBS. For complete results, you can consult the CBS website.
