Huurman also agrees on larger nursing homes

Jan HuurmanWILLEMSTAD – Inspector for Health Care Jan Huurman supports the idea of the Association for the Elderly “Movementu Grandinan  Uni” (MGI) for larger nursing homes for the elderly. Care centers where at least 30 people are cared for.

Huurman recently issued warnings to three homes with fewer than ten residents. Small scale care homes have difficulty finding responsible and professional staff, according to Huurman. They usually have only one employee per shift. "Extremely vulnerable", he says about the situation. Oscar Semerel of MGI says there is now a limit of three elderly to be able to start a care home. That would be at least thirty for an appropriate 24-hour care.
