ING Bank blocks 500 bank cards in Curaçao and Bonaire
WILLEMSTAD - The Security Affairs Department of the ING Bank has blocked 500 bank cards on Curaçao and Bonaire. This was stated by the customer service of the bank. The measure has been taken because there came complaints about skimming on the islands.
As a precaution, the bank has verified all the data from Curaçao and Bonaire. It shows that on both islands skimmers are operating in seven locations.
All customers who have pinned on one of these locations may not receive more money. The passes are irrevocably blocked to limit the financial damage. Within three or four days they automatically receive a new card at their home address.
