InselAir will receive incentives from the CTB
WILLEMSTAD – The local aviation company InselAir will receive incentives from the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) for their new routes. This is according to the Director International Affairs of the airline, Edward Heerenveen.
“There is no question of seat guarantee. The incentives are for the marketing of a new destination. A good marketing is important, because when we start with a new route the aircraft is only 10 to 20% full,” says the Director.
Heerenveen indicated that in the past the airline has lost a lot of money with new destinations. “We have invested five million dollars in Miami. We have recovered it afterwards. Now we are consulting first, then discuss it, especially how we are going to advertise,” says Heerenveen.
