International scientific diving symposium

WILLEMSTAD – On their website Carmabi wrote the proposals for scientific presentations can be submitted for the ‘International Scientific Diving Symposium 2013’, which will be held on the island between October 23rd and 27th. The symposium is organized by the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) and the European Scientific Diving Panel (ESDP).“The subjects in the marine-science vary from conservation, ecology and biodiversity to techniques and methods of underwater research and safety”, said Carmabi.

Researchers who are interested in giving a lecture during the symposium are invited to email their documents with maximum 300 words before April 15th to: aaus@disl.org with ‘AAUS symposium abstract’ as subject, mentioning the lead and the name. Participants will receive a message regarding acceptation of the proposals for both the oral presentations and the ‘poster presentation’ before May 1st. The difference with an oral presentation is that the poster presentation should reflect the essence of the story. Questions may be emailed to Dr. Michael A. Lang (mlang@oceanfdn.org) or Dr. Martin D.J. Sayer (martin.sayer@sams.ac.uk).
