Isla exceeds sulfur dioxide emission again

ZwaveldioxideWILLEMSTAD - According to the local environmental organization SMOC, the oil refinery Isla has exceeded once again the WHO standards for S02, or sulfur dioxide, many times last month. The organization reported these facts on their website. Every ten minutes there is a measured average of 500 g/m3, based on 24 hours is 20 g/m3. "These violations are in line with the SMOC complaints received last month from citizens who live under the smoke," said SMOC.
