Last free concert Fundashon Bon Intenshon
WILLEMSTAD - This is the last year that the Fundashon Bon Intenshon is organizing a free concert. This is according to the spokesman of the foundation Percy Pinedo.
This is the respond of the foundation that organizes the popular Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival on criticism expressed by Prime Minister Ben Whiteman against the organization.
The Prime Minister is not happy that the organization distributed the tickets on a national holiday, the Flag Day. According to Whiteman, there wasn't much interest in the events held on the Brion square in Otrabanda last Saturday. The reason, said the Prime Minister, is that on that same day, the Fundashon Bon Intenshon distributed the tickets. These were distributed at Montaña with the intention to help the neighborhood organization. People stood for three hours to get a hold of a ticket.
After this criticism from the Prime Minister, the organization said that, at least for now, they will not organize any other free concerts.
