MCB Bank welcomes new Director

De SilvaWILLEMSTAD – Recently, the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank welcomed Ian de Silvas as a new member of the management. De Silva is one of the Directors of the bank, together with the president of the bank, Mr. Lionel ‘Chicu’ Capriles and Director Michael de Sola. They will be in charge of the daily operations of the MCB Bank.

De Silva succeeds Joe van Dongen who after being part of the daily management for 6 years is now retired. Just as Van Dongen, De Silva will also represent shareholder Scotiabank in the management.

Ian de Silva has more than 40 years of service at the Scotiabank and has worked in different managerial positions in his native country of Trinidad & Tobago. He was also part of the Scotiabank’s management in Puerto Rico and the International Banking Division in Toronto, Canada.

With the appointment of Ian de Silva, Maduro & Curiel’s Bank ads an expert who has a vast experience in the banking business.

The MCB Bank, through its President, Chiku Capriles, welcomes Ian de Silva to Curaçao and wishes him all the best with this new endeavor.

The current MCB management also consists of Ruthsella Jansen, Jerry van Gijn, Daisy Tyrol-Carolus and Lewis Chernin.
