Message for U.S. Citizens in Curacao: Temporary Closure of U.S. Consulate due to weather
WILLEMSTAD - TEMPORARY CLOSURE - The United States Consulate General in Curacao will be closed Thursday, September 29th at 12:00 and remain closed Friday, September 30, 2016 due to incoming Tropical Storm Matthew. Non-emergency and emergency staff, with the exception of security, will not report to the Consulate. Emergency United States Citizens Services are available, but will limited due to weather conditions. Heavy rain, wind, flooding, and power outages are expected.
No routine services will be offered during this period. U.S. citizens requiring emergency consular assistance should contact the +599(9)-510-6870.
U.S. citizens seeking to travel to or from Curacao are encouraged to monitor the status of flights directly with the airline and the status of airport operations by visiting the website of Curacao Airport.
