Military assistance SDKK prison completed
WILLEMSTAD - The military assistance in the SDKK prison in Koraalspecht has been completed. This was reported by the Public Prosecutor. More than 100 soldiers were guarding the institution. This is to prevent a possible prison outbreak. A thorough search of the prison revealed a part of the bars of two cells was sawed through.
Cell phones, drugs and homemade weapons were also found there.
The evidence that several prisoners tried to escape around the Christmas period and the beginning of the new year, led to additional preparedness. The site was sealed by observatories and roadblocks.
Company Commander, Captain Mike Snoek is satisfied with the progress of the deployment. "Due to the high security and progressively built setups and observatories we managed, with the authorities, to reduce the threat. By reconnaissance patrols and directly respond to suspicious situations, we smothered every potential threat. The deployment went very well because of the professional efforts of everyone, "said Snoek. The military assistance has lasted twenty days.
