Milk drops: A Multidisciplinary Project From Nelson González now at Bloemhof

2013-0711-cw-Milk-Drops-webWILLEMSTAD - As part of the commemoration of 150 years of abolition of slavery Bloemhof presents on Saturday morning July 20 at 10:30, under the auspices of  Foundation Arte '99 and in collaboration with the Mondriaan Foundation and the Prince Bernhard Culture Caribbean, the exhibition 'Milk Drops' of the international and multidisciplinary artist Nelson González.

On this special day the book with the same name will also be presented in which the genesis history of this unique project is included. 'Milk Drops' creates and documents the social nexus of the woman who  breastfeeds someone else's child.

This particular morning will be introduced by Mrs. Lusette Verboom-Fairbairn, owner of Gallery Alma Blou and president of the Foundation Arte '99.

Nelson Gonzalez himself will be present to talk about his work and sign his book. The exhibition is open until Thursday, August 15, 2013. Business hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00.
