Mobile health clinics organized by CMU

CaribbeanMedicalUniversitySealWILLEMSTAD - The following Saturdays March 22nd & 29th, 2014  the students of Caribbean Medical University will be organizing “Mobile Health Clinics” for the general public, during which all persons who so desire can have their blood pressure taken and their blood sugar levels checked (diabetes screening). The results are given to the volunteer right away and, if needed, they will be encouraged to visit their “house doctor” for additional consultation.

These clinics will take place at Brionplein, in front of the Brionplein Café from 8:30AM to 12:30PM.

The purpose of the training is for the students to get a chance to practice a few simple medical procedures, and also contribute to the improvement of the health of our community by accentuating the importance of two of the most important causes of illness on the island, being “high blood pressure” and “diabetes”.
