OM in appeal against verdict Esther Cheri
WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has appealed against the verdict of Esther Cheri. On December 3, the judge sentenced the head of the Admission Organization to 100 hours of community service.
According to the accusations, Cheri has misused her position as a senior official in the Admissions Department. She has been accused of giving residency permits to Chinese nationals in exchange for money.
She was acquitted on four points because former Minister of Justice Nelson Navaro conducted a broader policy than what was allowed by the rules.
