Pay your fines before you go on vacation

Border management controlWILLEMSTAD – The Public Prosecutor Curacao, in close cooperation with the Immigration Service Curaçao, started with a digital system which makes it possible to trace if travelers entering or leaving the country via the Hato airport or seaport have outstanding fines.

As of today, it is already possible for the outstanding fines to be noted by an immigration officer. This is possible thanks to the database created by the Public Prosecution (OM) in the "Border Management System".

The Public Prosecutor advises all citizens to rather pay their fines before they leave the island, to avoid possible discomfort at the airport. For more information on the collection and payment of fines, OM refers all to the folder "traffic fine: Transaction or Condemnation". This is available for free at the Public Prosecution Service in Punda, Willemstad at the Office of the Attorney General along the Wilhelmina Plaza, the information center of Curacao, Tax Revenue Office in Emmastad and at the desk of the Immigration Service at Hato Airport.
