Possible ferry service between Aruba, Curaçao and Venezuela
WILLEMSTAD, ORANJESTAD – After the announcement of the ferry service between the ABC-islands, there is now the announcement of the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication and Information about a possible ferry service between the South American neighbor and the islands of Aruba and Curaçao.
According to sources, the company Naviera Paraguana is already in full preparation for the ferry service. On May 6 this year, the first ship left Greece for Venezuela. It will arrive at the coastal town of Falcon and will be prepared to be used as a ferry.
On the boat there is room for at least 600 passengers, at least 160 "small vehicles" and more than 20 containers for dry or refrigerated products. The ferry has three floors. Plans are that the vessel will start operations in June next year.
The company has not announced yet what the tariffs will be. However, they have announced that there probably are special rates for seniors and children younger than 2 years.
