Prime Minister Ivar Asjes visits the Academy Hotel

Academy HotelWILLEMSTAD – The Prime Minister of Curaçao paid a visit to the Academy Hotel Curaçao to get acquainted with a group of students in the tourism sector. This project is an initiative financed by Reda Social from public funds in cooperation with the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Hospitality Training Foundation (CHTF) and Granbeeuw Education Foundation (SEG).

This course is focused on training the students in becoming chefs on both level 2 and 3. Once a Academy Hotel1week the students come together to learn both the theoretical part as the practical. The students vary from young people studying in the hotel business and also employees in the tourism sector, who are not certified and that are working as chefs.

This course gives a second academic opportunity to receive a diploma. Prime Minister Asjes has expressed his contentment in this initiative and that the Government of Curaçao will do its utmost to promote a sustainable social-economic climate for the youth through formation on high level. This will give them more opportunity for employment.
