RBC donates to Carmabi in support of its Marine Education CenteR

RBC presents cheque to CarmabiWILLEMSTAD - On Blue Water Day 2015 RBC presented a check to Carmabi for the launch of its Marine Education Center (MEC). Almerina Rodrigues (Area Vice President Personal Banking) and Russell Kopke (Area Vice President Business Banking) presented the check for 5000 ANG to Paul Stokkermans, Director of Carmabi. The Marine Education Center (MEC) is a natural history museum dedicated to underwater/marine life. The MEC is located in the Carmabi building at Piscadera. The MEC’s targets schools and forms part of a wider marine educational program that starts with classes in school about the coral reefs and ends with a trip to Carmabi for a presentation about coral reefs, an exercise and a visit to the MEC. The first schools start the program in September. The MEC will also be open to the general public starting from July this summer. For now, the MEC will only be open to the general public on weekdays from 2 pm. Visitors to the MEC are required to donate a small amount. Stokkermans is grateful to RBC for their financial support.
