RBC draws attention to Cuba and Venezuela economy and implications for Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD - As part of the series of meetings organized by RBC Business Banking for its loyal customers, the bank recently held an event focusing on the economic situation of Cuba and Venezuela and the implications for Curacao.
The event was well attended; it attracted a full house and RBC was well represented. There were several interesting speakers, including Marla Dukharan, the keynote speaker. Dukharan is the Group Economist of RBC since 2009 and is based in Trinidad & Tobago. Also present were Russell Kopke (RBC Area Vice President Curaçao and Bonaire), Pierre Rafini (Market Head Business Banking Dutch Caribbean) and Pierrot Hurtado (RBC Country Manager for Curacao and Bonaire).
During the session several topics were discussed, including the economic crisis that Venezuela is in and its impact on Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean. RBC speakers also gave an overview of the economy of Cuba. The presentation ended with an interactive Q&A session with the economist.
RBC looks back on yet another insightful and informative session in which many opportunities were uncovered for the RBC clients. RBC continues to fulfill its promise to help clients thrive and communities prosper. RBC has consistently organized appreciation events on a regular basis and looks forward to yet another opportunity to host another event.
