RBC keeps supporting PWF Children’s Cancer Fund
WILLEMSTAD - RBC supports charities within the community to contribute to a better country and community. In the area of health - through various projects - the bank supports the Children’s Cancer Fund of the Princess Wilhelmina Fund. Thanks to this support the Princess Wilhelmina Fund is able to raise the necessary funds to provide young cancer patients and their family much needed support when they turn to the foundation for the treatment of cancer and the care that goes along with it.
In anticipation of the collection month of the Princess Wilhelmina Fund in September, RBC invited representatives of the foundation (Alba Martijn), of the Children’s Cancer Fund (Frieda Geller) and the Carmelita family (cancer survivor) for an information session with the employees in which the work of the foundation was presented to the attendees. The parents of the young cancer survivor gave an impressive testimony – from the beginning till the end – about their experience with their son’s cancer. With his positive attitude the young boy has proven to all that were present that children’s cancer is treatable and even curable and how important it is that a child remains a child.
Finally Steven Coutinho, the managing director of RBC, symbolically handed over a check for 10 thousand guilders to the Children’s Cancer Fund.
