Rotaract Club of Curaçao gives back for Earth Day
WILLEMSTAD - Rotaract Club of Curaçao partnered with Blenchi School in honor of Earth Day. Earth Day is a movement that started back in 1970 in order to raise awareness to our environment. Earth Day is now a worldwide movement where many people and organizations plant trees or do some form of community service to continue spreading the awareness.
Rotaract Club of Curaçao donated several trees to Blenchi School and even got the chance to plant one with them. “We hope to continue the partnership with Blenchi School, because we are truly amazed by what all that they do”, said Hannah Petit, President of the Rotaract Club of Curaçao.
Blenchi School has a green house where they care for and sell plants such as Yuka, Avocado, desert rose, various herbs, beautiful flowers and much more. They even make their own compost, which is also for sale. The fruits and vegetables which the plants produce are also for sale by the Blenchi School.
All of these plants, fruits, vegetables and compost start at the price of Nafl.5 and are available for purchase on Tuesdays and Thursdays during school hours at the Blenchi School.
Let’s celebrate the earth on Earth Day and continue fighting climate change by inspiring and motivating others to action.
