SNIP Plane part of new Arrivals Hall at Curaçao International Airport

SNIPWILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Airport Partners is working intensely on realizing the new Arrivals Hall and Customs area for an enhanced airport experience at Curaçao International Airport by mid-September 2016.

In addition to infrastructural developments, CAP added an interesting historic component to the airport ambiance in the Arrivals Hall: a life-size replica of the SNIP. The SNIP made aviation history in Curaçao by broadening the reach of KLM onto the Caribbean region, leaving Amsterdam on December 15, 1934 and after passing Marseille, Alicante, Casablanca, Porto Praia, Paramaribo and La Guaria, the ‘SNIP’ reached Curaçao on December 22, 1934.
