South Caribbean Gay Pride Curacao a big hit

Pressrelease Picture South Caribbean PrideWILLEMSTAD - Curacao Gay Pro, the organizers of the Pride events on Curacao are looking back with great satisfaction on the recent South Caribbean Pride events in Curacao. The 5 day event was a big hit! People from all over the region traveled to Curacao to be part of it. Floris Suite Hotel was sold out with guests from Trinidad en Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Aruba, St. Martin, Bonaire, Colombia, Venezuela, Surinam, and The United States, The Netherlands, Argentina, United Kingdom, France, and Norway. Also neighboring hotels were booked with guests who came for Pride.

“We are thrilled and happy with all the support we received from the local community and the visitors from all over the world. The feedback on the events has been very positive and we are proud that everyone felt welcome regardless of background, race or orientation says Frank Holtslag, President of Curacao Gay Pro.

It all started with a wonderful opening event by the Minister of Economic development Mr. Stanley Palm followed by a Dinner Cabaret evening in Restaurant Sjalotte, a themed party around the pool of Floris Suite Hotel, a wonderful boat trip on The Insulinde followed by a concert of EphremJ at the Riffort Square in Otrabanda and a closing party at The Water Club, Piscadera.

The 2nd annual Curacao Pride will be held from September 24 – September 28 2014 and the program will be announced shortly.
