Sta. Rosaweg open again
WILLEMSTAD - After months of work, today the Kaya Rignald Recordino, formerly the Sta. Rosaweg, will be reopened to traffic. This was announced by the Ministry of Communications, Transport and Spatial Planning.
Simultaneously the traffic lights at the junction to the Sta. Rosaweg, Kaya Hensley 'Bam Bam' Meulens, Kaya Rignald Recordino and Seru Loraweg will be reconnected.
The Curaçao Wegenbouwmaatschappij (CWM) was responsible for the renewal of the roads.
Traffic can now use the road without being redirected. This is until phase two begins on January 11, 2016. At the start of the work for phase 2, the traffic lights will be removed together with the first storage tanks at the old gas station and the building of the former Curoil gas station.
A roundabout will be constructed that connects the Sta. Rosaweg, Kaya Hensley 'Bam Bam' Meulens, Kaya Rignald Recordino and Seru Loraweg together.
If everything goes according to plan, the roundabout will be completed in May 2016.
