Students Radulphus welcomed in The Hague

Radulphus-College-WeConnectTHE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - About fifty VWO students from the Radulphus High School were welcomed last Friday for an informative meeting at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in The Hague. They were informed about topics such as student loans, study choice and admission to the various programs.

Employees of the WeConnect Foundation talked about educational projects for students and gave a glimpse into the life of a Caribbean student in the Netherlands.

WeConnect offers the students a wide network of fellow students, senior students and organizations. With the aim of making the students feel at home in the Netherlands quickly. There are also Caribbean Collège Tours organized such as debate training and a visit to the Anne Frank House, this year for the fourth time in a row.

Minister Anthony Begina was present on behalf of Curaçao. He was accompanied by the Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ingrid van Engelshoven.

As a WeConnect guest speaker, the 29-year-old Aruban young professional Judeska Alleyne shared her experiences on studying and living in the Netherlands. She studied Business Economics in Amsterdam herself and is now considering working as an entrepreneur.
