Taams employees will not be paid by government

Taams ClinicWILLEMSTAD - Despite his listening ear and fully understanding the situation, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ben Whiteman will not take responsibility for the payment of the salaries of the employees of the embattled Taams Clinic.

The Minister indicated clearly that there are no funds available to help these employees of the private institution Taams clinic. Currently the employees are on strike. They have not been paid their salary for two months now. All sources indicate that the clinic is practically bankrupt and without the help of the government, the clinic will soon have to close its doors.

Parliament has called a Central Committee meeting this coming Friday to discuss the situation of the clinic and the implications it will bring to the public health.
